Biggest Host Contribution Award
We are delighted and honoured to inform you all that the Elijah Social Cognitive Skills Centre has won the award for the Biggest Host Contribution (Small Organisation) at city university . The Centre was up against 10 other multinational institutions. This summer the Elijah Centre was chosen to host a microplacement program . The micro-placements program is a programme promoting social-mobility, from City University of London, it aimed to place students, whom the majority are from under-represented backgrounds, into short-term career projects, hosted by top institutions and clinics. We are so grateful for all the amazing feedback given about the Elijah Centre:
“The staff at the Elijah Centre not only carry out inspiring work but have the positive attitude to match, they are truly enthusiastic and passionate about what they do and I found myself hoping that wherever I end up working after graduation I would find people with the same work ethic and values. The hosts Elizabeth and Dr Elijah were so welcoming and helpful that any nerves I had about undertaking the placement were gone within a day. It was a fantastic environment and I am grateful for the opportunity. I left after the 5 weeks with enhanced confidence and strengthened core skills valuable in any professional environment.“ – Olivia (MPP) We are very proud of all the mentors, and senior staff at the centre for putting together all their effort in order to achieve the micro-placement goals. A huge well done , and congratulations to all our interns who became a part of our team, contributing in the field of Education, Law and Policies, and Media. All their hard work has helped make a difference in the Elijah Children’s lives. |
