Training Courses for Schools
The Elijah Centre provides a variety of specialist training services to help support schools, nurseries and educational settings.
Our team of PROSCIG© therapists and child psychologists can deliver tailor-made training on inset days or after school on a range of subjects, from challenging behaviour and communication. After the training staff will feel more confident in applying methods and skills they have learned to assess and support individual cases.
Teachers at various schools have reported lower stress levels, and feel they have the appropriate tools and knowledge to best support their students, with increased confidence in dealing with issues raised.
If you are interested in our training courses or would like to discuss requirements for a course tailored to your class needs, please get in touch.

Consultations & Home Programmes
We understand that a lot of families may not be able to travel to our clinic or families may not live in London for regular sessions.
We offer the option of a home program for PROSCIG© intervention, targeting specific areas of development. This model works with children who do not require regular PROSCIG © sessions, but would benefit from indirect therapy input at home or a school program set up by Dr Elijah.

PECS© and Communication
The Elijah Centre prides itself in developing communication for all of our children. For some individuals, this focuses on developing language and how they direct this. For others, we build communication skills outside of language. As a centre, we provide a PECS© (Picture Exchange Communication System) certified programme. This develops children’s expressive communication skills by exchanging pictures with a communication partner. This can help those with a range of language limitations, delays, and autism. It is suitable for both verbal and non-verbal learners alike. Learners gain skills to approach others, direct communication, and cross distances to find a communication partner. Using this approach, we adapt communication to the individual’s diverse needs and empower them with a strategy so that everyone can be heard.
7+ Interviews
The school interview is key to the private school admissions process, and research and preparation are essential.
At the Elijah Centre we hold sessions to support and prepare children through their interview process. Our aim is to build confidence, and give the children the right tools and skills for the seven plus interviews.
